Congress has passed new legislation that extends the First-Time Buyer Tax Credit of up to $8,000 maximum allowable credit to first-time buyers until April 30, 2010.  Maxumum qualifying income limit for single taxpayers is $125,000 & $225,000 for joint taxpayers.  Military personnel, deployed overseas for a minimum of 90 days in 2008 & 2009, would have until April 30,2010 to claim the credit.  Contact your tax professional or the IRS at 800-829-1040 for details.
